Healthy Halloween Treats: 10 Fun Ideas For The Whole Family

Are you looking for ideas for healthy Halloween treats to avoid candy and other sugar-sweetened sweets this season?

Believe it or not, there are healthy (and fun) ways for you and your family to curb a sweet tooth without the added sugar!

Get creative and draw a jack-o-lantern face on tangerines or apple sauce pouches or ghost faces on cheese sticks or bananas.

Additional healthy Halloween treats to consider in place of sweets include nuts, seeds, dark chocolate-covered nuts, dark chocolate, fresh fruit, or popsicles made of 100% fruit or juices. You might also choose pretzels, dried fruits (without added sugar), or no-sugar-added cinnamon applesauce.

The key here is avoiding candy, added sugar, and/or artificial sweeteners. Focus on foods containing whole-food ingredients and/or naturally sweet ingredients, such as fruit, yogurt, or dark chocolate.

Use the recipes and ideas below to nix the candy in favor of healthy Halloween treats!
